2.      Up to ten entries, the teams entering the competition will be placed in two groups; up to fifteen, three groups. Each team will play every other team intheir group once only. The winner of each game will be awarded 3 points. If the game is drawn both teams are awarded 1 point each.

3.      The winner of each group will be that team with the most points. The runner-up will be the team with the next highest points. If the teams are level onpoints following the completion of the games, then the team with the largest positive goal difference will be placed the higher in the group. If the goaldifference is the same, then the team that has scored most goals will be placed higher in the group. If the goal difference and goals scored are the same, thenthe winner of the game between the two sides in the group match will be placed higher in the group. Only if the points are level, the goal difference and goals scored identical and the group game drawn will a penalty shoot-out be used to decide the winner/ runner up in the group.

4.      In the hopefully unlikely need for a penalty shoot-out, 5 members of the team will take one penalty each. At the conclusion of this, the team that has scored the most penalties will win or be placed higher in the group. If the scores are level after all the penalties have been taken, further penalties will continue and the winner will be determined on a sudden death basis.

5.      If there are 2 groups, the 2 group winners and 2 runners-up will then go forward into the semi-finals (or if 3 groups, the 3 winners and highest runner-up) where the competition will progress on a knock out basis with the 2 winners of the semi-finals going forward into the final.

6.      The winners of the semi-finals and final will be the team scoring the most goals in that game. If the scores are level after 5 minutes each way in these games, then extra time will be played of 3 minutes each way. If the scores are still level after extra time then, for the semi-finals only, the game will be decided on penalties as outlined in 4 above. For the final only, if the scores are still level after extra time, the game will go into a sudden death period, i.e. the first team to score wins the final. This sudden death period will last for a maximum of 3 minutes each way. If the goal has not been scored after 6minutes of sudden death, then the final will be decided on penalties as outlined in 4 above.

7.      Each game in the group matches will comprise 5 minutes each way, with the teams changing ends at half time. The semi-finals and final itself will last for 5 minutes each way with extra time as necessary as described in 6 above. In all games the referee will be responsible for keeping the time.

8.      The maximum number of players allowed to participate in a game at any one time is six (to include the goalkeeper). Each team is allowed to use up to two substitutes in any one game. Any player substituted cannot return to the field of play in that particular game. Teams are allowed to change goalkeepers during the course of the game (subject to the substitution rules above) as long as the referee has informed the opposition team of the change.

9.      If any player is sent off the field by the referee in any game, then that player is banned from the rest of the tournament.

10.  In each game the referee’s decision must be taken as the final decision.

11.  The normal rules of football will apply to the games (including the pass back rule) apart from the following exceptions:-

Only the goalkeeper will be allowed to touch the ball with his hands in the penalty area. Any hand balls or fouls by the defending team in this area will result in a penalty for the attacking side.
