| A large number of the Explorers achieve their Bronze, Silver and God Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Awards. Some are cycling and some walking, on the south coast, South Downs, North Downs, New Forest, Exmore and Dartmoor. Many of the teams are using the Overland Training events as part of the preparation for the Expeditions. The Overland preparation will often count towards their fitness challenge. Most are also taking part in the Young Leader Scheme doing service work helping out Scout Groups with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. If you want to achieve the DofE then Ashdown Explorers are a good place to start,
the award is recognised by employers and Universities helping with career opportunities as well as opening up you world to new adventure experiences. | ||||||||
