Ashdown District Scouts Film Festival 2012 is at Uckfield HQ, 6:30 to 9:30pm on Saturday 14th January.

..And after a great set of movies at the Film Festival this year, please see if your scouts are willing and able to film the preparations for and execution of the Ashdown hike (or any hike). Remember, any video camera could suffice - inc. mobile phone.

Has your troop planned or filmed something yet?

As a reminder - ANY presentation lasting 8 minutes or so, useable in a DVD player.  Entries will be shown in mid January in Uckfield Scout Hut.

While the Scouts may do the whole thing, it is quite ok for Scouters and parents and non-scouts to muck in to get the job done.

Your troop movie can be of any genre: Action/Story; Documentary; TV Show; Stage play; etc.  Let the imagination of your troop show itself.

No Camera?: Parents may have one, or ask the local school (as I did).  Try filming on at least 2 occasions - so you can fill in the bits you missed the first time.

IS anyone going to try a documentary/mockumentary on their scoutleader?
Or film the District Wide Game perhaps?

What can your troop get into 8 minutes?

Please send completed DVD's plus any still photos & support material (who/what/when/how) to me by early Jan (no later than 9th

In 2011 there were four entries from Southon Troop 1st Crowborough, 1st Rotherfield, 1st Wadhurst and 4th Uckfield.

All 4 films were an excellent standard they were all awarded the U-Tube.
