Crowborough Summer Fair 2006
Dear all,
A huge thanks to you for your hard work and enthusiasm in helping make the drumming events last Saturday happen – they were all a real success! I want to give you a brief update on what happened in our region and at national level.
There were 7 events in Sussex, Kent and Surrey, with a total of 246 drummers who’ve signed the petition – there was an additional event at the WDM AGM in London that was organised by Sussex folk. We had the Mayor and an editor of a local paper at the Eastbourne event, MP Laura Moffat drumming at the Crawley event, and an entire scouts group at Crowborough!
Sussex; Crawley – 19; Crowborough – 105; Eastbourne – 24
Kent; Sevenoaks – 47; Group doing the Pilgrim’s Challenge sponsored walk! – 6
Surrey; Addlestone – 45 approx
WDM AGM - 52

We do not yet know whether we have officially broken the world record or not – but the campaigns team are confident that we have! The pressure works website will be updated as news comes in, so do keep an eye on it. So, you can feel very pleased with yourselves for having done a good job!
Thanks and best wishes,
Becky Rust, Volunteer Development Officer - Sussex, Kent & Surrey, Christian Aid
