St Georges Day Parade 2008, 1st Crowborough Scout Group
We met at Pilmer Road car park for 2pm on the 27th April 2008. We had clearance from the Police to paraded through the town, so we parade through the high street, croft road then down to Chapel Green. We had a 12m flag pole on the green and we had St. George and a dragon accompany us!

We set off at 2.15 to parade through the town, ending on Chapel Green. We then had the small service, renewal of promises and dispersed from there at 2:45pm. Southon troop made a big dragon to lead the parade, with St George on her horse coming along behind. Of course it was in uniform and it was good to see everyone there. We currently have 273 members in the group, so there was a good turnout on this our centenary year.

It was great to have Rotherfield Cubs and Scouts join us on the parade.
